Botswana Medical Aid Society (Bomaid), participated at the HATAB Annual Conference 2017. The event was held at Mowana Safari Resort and Spa in Kasane from the 27th to the 28th April 2017. This is the second year that Bomaid continues in its effort to penetrate the tourism industry through this platform.
Bomaid’s participation in this annual event is a great achievement as it allows for dialogue and reach in the industry ensuring engagement and sharing of information on challenges and solutions regarding health care and health aid in tourism development. The Conference attracted a number of parastatals and private organisations.
“This event also assists us in reinforcing our value proposition of being at the heart of health. We care for people’s health and wellbeing and we always strive to bring what we provide to the people regardless of their stature in society. Even though we have a wide array of products, for this event we decided to bring the Bomaid outpatient A Standard Health Plan, which is affordable and allows access to private health care services,” says the Bomaid Sales and Marketing Manager Mrs Beulah Mapitse at the event.
Bomaid believes that participating in this event allows for access for a wider target audience that may be in need of health care cover in addition to the one already provided by the government. Not only did the HATAB Conference allow Bomaid the opportunity to market the outpatient health plan option, it also provided an opportunity to promote its high end health plan option. The HATAB delegates were also updated on recent developments at Bomaid, the add-on benefits with emphasis on the Bomaid Maternity Programme ‘Bombaby’.
Bomaid is optimistic about endorsing such events in future.
